One of THE most promising MCs in the city right now, JD Era has been steadily building towards this point in his career.  Mad talented and lyrically fierce, you can only shake your head after listening to his flow because he makes it look so damn easy! A few months ago he made serious waves by getting signed to Raekwon‘s imprint label ICEH2O.  His track CHANGE from The Real Frequency’s compilation, The New North was officially released earlier this week and before you can even recover , Era hit you with another one!!

The newest release is Pay Day 2, an updated version of a track on Era’s last project, but is well worth taking in. Calling on some 70’s style pimp ish on the production, Snaz goes in hard on the beat while Era works his lyrical magic.  The joint features some inside-the-biz quotables from B.I.G and Pac before the legendary Raekwon grabs the mic and demolishes  it.  It’s tracks like this that get me even more amped for Era’s upcoming album, No Hand Outs.
