One of my fav up and coming artists/producers from Toronto, Royce Birth, releases a new single entitled, Puff, Puff, Pass.  Produced by the Quarter Inch Kings, I’m looking forward to the release of of Royce’s EP next month, a collaborative effort with Angerville. I’ll keep you posted on that!

Causing a ruckus at a concert is nothing new for most talented MCs, but doing it as a surprise guest at another performers concert is quite another.  That’s what Canadian hip hop icon, Maestro (Fresh Wes), did over Labor Day weekend during a Public Enemy concert — peep the video below.

Wes releases a new single, Black Tuxedo, produced by The Rezza Brothers.  Also a successful author and actor – you can catch him on a tv near you on the second season of CBC’s popular sitcom, Mr. D — Wes returns to what started it all for him: the music.  With an EP expected soon, check out the link for the new track, with cuts by Scratch Bastid.
