One to Watch: Devylle

December 16, 2011

One of Toronto’s emerging artists for 2012 is Devylle.  You’ve probably heard his newest single, Birthday Girl ft. Jhevon Paris on radio, but that only offers one side of his versatility as an artist.  Peep the video to get the full range of what he can offer as an artist.

In the meantime, Birthday Girl is an R&B single is perfect for radio and the clubs. With the success of his mixtape, Border Crossing from Toronto to Miami, Devylle proves how dynamic he is. With the versatility of a seasoned MC, Devylle can float effortlessly between a hard-hitting delivery and creating something that can be strictly for the ladies.

If the name sounds vaguely familiar, that’s because he’s not entirely new to the music scene.  In September of 2005, his single Holla Back made its way onto a compilation by Roots Canada. The following year Devylle released another single entitled Do You Like That, which made it on the Toronto’s Z103.5 Hit Mix compilation, and was sold in major music stores across Canada. The single was also featured on the Flow 93.5 FLOWMix Compilation. The success of this track resulted in Devylle sharing the stage with artists such as Chris Brown, Ginuwine, Elephant Man and Nas. Since then, Devylle has continued to push the envelope and added a European tour to his growing list of accomplishments.

Pay attention to what he has in store for 2012!
